Your TreeMounT furniture is made of high quality materials. Here is some information on how to clean and maintain your TreeMounT products in excellent shape for many years to come.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is a material which is weather resistant. However due to outdoor conditions some dirt and tarnish might settle. Scotch Brite by 3M and water are the most suitable products for cleaning stainless steel. You should remove dust from time to time by simply using a cotton cloth.
Depending on the environment, contamination by airborne iron particles may occur. Regular dusting will normally prevent any rust of forming. If your stainless steel has been affected then please do first use sandpaper grid / coarse 220 and afterwards finish of by using Scotch Brite by 3M and water.
Inox cleaners may also be applied.
Teak Wood
Teak wood does not need additional protective measures. It requires little care and will maintain its strength and attractiveness for decades. Untreated wood, exposed to water, snow and UV rays will oxidize and take on a silver-grey sheen.
During long term exposure to weather influences, it is possible that the wood shows a tarnish of dirt and algal. You should remove this with water, possibly in combination with non aggressive soap and a brush.
Due to weather conditions, the surface of the wood will become drier. This might then cause the surface pores open and feel a little rough. Just smoothen it by brushing the wood with a hard, hairy brush. First gently sand down the wood with sanding paper.
Do not use a high-pressure sprayer.
Batyline by Ferrari and Polyrattan by Viro
Batyline, made by Ferrari of France, is a material consisting of a polyester fiber covered by a coating of PVC making it nearly impossible to tear. It is a light-weight, tough and easy to clean material. It has an excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and withstands fading and mildew.
The sagging and stretch of the material is minimal. Batyline will slowly return back to its original shape after it has been used especially when placed in the sun.
The cleaning of Batyline material as well as the Polyrattan material is an easy process as you can wash these materials using water and soft soap and eventually a soft cotton cloth or a sponge. Rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning.
Scouring agents and solvents are to be avoided.
HPL by Formica
A damp cloth can be used to remove spills and greasy spots. Please rub with a clean, dry cloth so as to bring back the brightness to the material. You should also occasionally clean the material with warm soapy water.
To remove any heavy build-up of dirt please use Windex spray cleaner.
